free javascript menu maker

    What benefit would it give the user to do it online when there are quite a few readily available that you can download and tailor to your needs ?

    I am not sure I have seen an open source script. This site, Webmaster Tools has a couple of links for menu generators. They aren't 100% free, though, you can buy them or have to keep a link to the site - searchbliss for instance.

    I followed the link 'WebmastersCavern' and there may be something here but I have not checked anything out.

    You might try scripts sites like hotscripts, where I HAVE seen before, a couple of cgi scripts for generating js menus from your website. I can't remember where I found them now, whether hotscripts or other sites. Of course these places also have tons of javascripts and some may be what you are looking for.
    Open source might be hard to find but, like I say, I do recall one or two a while ago. :O)))

    thanks for the tip mikmik, but they're all not available for download. couldn't find anything either on hotscripts :( oh, well...

    Yeah, sorry howardroark, they are hard to find. I have a subscription to 'SearchBliss' newsletter and will keep this thread in mind if something comes up. Till then, the best they have I can see is this:

    I will keep my eyes open and post anything I ever find here. I go to script sites a lot, and there is a whoile whack of xml and ajax stuff being developed that menu generation would be a good use of. Like I said, I have seen a cgi script somewhere, too :O)))
