I got very confused thinking what is the right way to use images in my site and I think many people were too, I tried to search for free images because I do not want to use copyrighted ones and get in trouble but I found many types of licenses: CC (Creative Commons) GPL (General Public License) LGPL (Lesser General Public License) I thought why not gather the details of every mentioned license here so every body knows what type to use in his site, what requirements every license has, which ones you can only use and which ones you can use and modify. I know many of them were made for software, but let's keep the explanation of those licenses for images only (icons, pictures, ...etc) Any help is really appreciated...
