Hi Folks: I see a lot of threads on the forum asking people to review their site's On Page SEO. I will review your site for free and tell you about 5 main problems with your site or suggest 5 improvements (I do hope to get sites where I can't suggest any improvements ;-) ). Send me your site's address and keywords and I will review the site. If you want your review to remain private, you can send me PM and I can respond to your requests in PM. Please be patient, I will try to spend some time on this activity everyday but I do need to make a living rest of the day ;-) I don't accept gambling and adult niche sites. @Mods: Let me know if you want to move this thread to some other section. I believe Freebies section doesn't fit well.
The first site: 1. It's accessible by using both www and non www URLs. Google has indexed 1080 pages from the non-www URL and 280 when you put www. Put a simple 301 redirect and tell Google about your preferred domain (using webmaster tools). 2. No keywords in title. Your homepage's title is AutomateTheGame.com, is this the keyword you want to optimize for? <title> is one of the most important tags in a page. 3. You have given three products for download on the homepage. All three have a name e.g. Live Feed Auto-Collector, but they are only linked using Download button. You are wasting these keyword rich internal links. 4. All three download software use h1, a page traditionally can only have one h1 tag and these should be h2 instead. You might give 'spamming' signals to search engine bots with this type of coding. 5. Home link links to automatethegame.com/index.html (get rid of that index.html). There are too many problems that I see ;-) But I am only writing 5 here.
About TrueCheaters.com, looks like a standard vbulletin install with hardly any changes. 1. Get rid of those session strings from URLs. People who want to bookmark your site or link to your site would prefer a 'clean' URL. 2. Thread title can be in h1 for forum posts. Forum posts get a LOT of long-tail traffic. (DP smartly uses both h1 and h2 for thread's title). 3. I am not sure 'true cheaters' is a good enough title for the site. 4. Internal forums (I saw one for Lockerz) don't have good enough titles. It should be "Lockerz Cheats". 5. Footer links to your other site and this site. 'Cheaters'.. is this really the keyword you are targeting? This is a precious internal link and must have a GREAT anchor text.
That looks like a copy/paste from SEO doctor text. Thanks for joining me in helping webmaster find basic SEO problems with their sites.
Thank you very much! I will start addressing these issues today! I really appreciate it, there's so many things to this SEO stuff, lol!
stubbsintmovers.com I am quite happy to see a site with good internal navigation and good use of anchor text and h1s. Here are some issues. 1. I will get rid of that sitemap link. It points to an xml file and the right way to tell Google about your xml sitemap is through robots.txt 2. Do you really want to retain that 'links' page? Link exchanges used to be a favorite technique till 2005.. not anymore. 3. http://www.stubbsintmovers.com/moving-to-europe.htm - broken (found on http://www.stubbsintmovers.com/business_storage.html) Code (markup): 4. Your blog doesn't have a keyword rich title? 5. I would normally also link the homepage in footer with a keyword rich anchor text (you have probably compensated by linking to homepage within the text).
About mintuz.co.uk 1. <style type="text/css" td img {display: block;}</style> There is a BIG coding error that I saw on homepage. This could result into bad rendering by the browsers (or bad parsing by bots) 2. You can easily get rid of the links to post provided with 'post date' as anchor text. That will reduce number of outgoing links on the homepage. If you don't have other authors and don't really use author profiles, get rid of that 'Admin' link too. It's a 404 page anyway (I think). Do you really need that 'meta' field? 3. Sitemap.xml It's not required at all. You are just making all internal links 'a bit weaker' by using this link. 4. Some of the categories are not used wisely.. link building blackbook post in iPhone category !! Nowadays, I don't even recommend using categories in URL. 5. On individual 'post' pages, the post title can be in h1. It's still in h2. Wordpress is handling a lot of stuff here ;-)
This one is not a 'site with content'.. It's more like a landing page that has only two options.. signup..and signup 1. http://www.adsnx.com/contact.php - broken Code (markup): 2. Spammy meta description 3. FAQ link is also broken. 4. Sample documents in T&C? Is this a joke? 5. No h1 used, inline css. The 'page' (not site because there is nothing else to it really), is full of errors ! I look at the site's code and navigation manually and can see errors without help from 'tools'.
