I have compiled this free report for all to read. If you like it, don't be shy to show some love! 1. Make sure you are promoting the correct Offer Now this is tricky. Many people contact me and ask me to tell them which offer is the best offer to promote. The answer is: a) an offer that you feel comfortable with b) a low paying offer. That's right, a low paying offer. It is much easier to promote a $2.10 Zip Submit than it is to sell a $40 Ebook. Learn with the low paying offers (and ultimately turn a profit) and then move on to the big bad boys. Also, the lower paying offers will generally require a smaller budget to experience a good return on investment (ROI). 2. Use a motherfudging Landing Page! Direct linking is dead! If you have been doing direct linking up until now and have been successful, then kudos to you. But things are changing fast. Not only are most advertisers disallowing direct linking, but the general internet public are becoming smarter and less susceptible to direct linking antics. Landing Pages are undoubtedly the most important aspect of your campaign. They will make or break you as an affiliate marketer. Landing pages have to be twisted and tweaked to the max in order to see huge conversion rates. Direct linking will not only lose you a great deal of money on advertising, but will also result in less conversions. 3. Make sure your Landing Page is actually a Landing Website with useful and accurate info and targeted keywords Gone are the days of the old school landing pages (1 year ago) consisting of a skinny long page with a crap load of information in it would result in high conversions. Adwords has changed, and therefore so must your landing page. Only a year ago could you max bid on a keyword and subsequently have your ad shown first, and it would result in some good conversions. Those days are dead! Your landing page has to give substantial information that the user will benefit from in some way or another. Don't think of the landing page visitor as a fool, but rather as someone who is as intelligent as you are. 4. Link to specific & Targeted Landing Pages and not home pages. NB! Make sure your landing page is the correct page that gives the most accurate info (and not just linking to home page). ie. If you are promoting hair dryers, and your advert is about the GHD IV Styler Purple (Limited Edition), then make sure your ad links to your landing page that talks about the GHD IV Styler Purple (Limited Edition), and does not link to your home page where you showcase all the top GHD hair dryers. Be very targeted! 5. For pete's sake, make sure your Landing Page looks like the merchants page 120%! How can you expect to have high conversions when your landing page looks nothing like the merchants page? How is the user supposed to feel at ease, comfortable and as if he/she is being dealt with by one solid professional company instead of two completely different/unpro randoms? Think continuity. The transition from your page to the merchant's must be seamless and smooth! People TOTALLY underestimate this step, and consequently lose ALOT of potential conversions (and money!) 6. Quality Score Advertising with Adwords has become more like SEO. It's sad, but oh so true. If your quality score drops after 48 hours, stop the campaign and take a long hard look at what you have done so far. Make sure: a) Your targeted keywords are in your title, description, and url b) Those exact keywords are in the actual content of the landing page c) Your landing page has good quality graphics 7. Track everything! The first 48 hours of running your campaign, you should not leave your computer. Almost every network offers Sub ID tracking features. USE IT! Track which keywords are converting and which ones are not. Let the campaign run for at least 24 hours before making any changes to the keywords. Also, whip out a txt file, and every 30 min, write down how much you have spent on advert clicks, how many clicks your merchant got, and how many sales you got. Understanding the times at which your users are in "BUY MODE" is vital in maintaining exceptionally high conversions. So there you have it. Never underestimate the importance of Landing Pages.
