Hi,i'm interested in giving some bum marketing a go,& have been looking at Weebly,& freewebs.com.What are your opinions on using one of these for this purpose,with using each page of the website for different affiliate links of advertisers? Is using one website with all different landing pages & advertisers a good idea though,having all your eggs in one basket? I think i'm going to get my own domain name at namecheap or godaddy,which i think will enable me to keep it should i want to leave the sites?Or is the domain name not really important with bum marketing seing as it maybe best to use different author names for each article,or are the titles of the articles only really important? I read on one thread that they had trouble putting ads on Freewebs.com??? Other options i'm thinking of are paid hosting with Wordpress,or Freehostia. What would you all recommend for somebody testing the waters. Cheers for any help.
Even for testing waters, I think you should buy your own domain name and host. People normally don't buy anything from the free hosted sites because they feel insecure about spending their hard earned money on such a person's product or service who himself is not settled and using free services. Just a thought.Best of luck.
Free site are good to host squeeze pages but I would not recommended for your niche websites. Free Websites often without any warning go out of business or have multiple malfunctions that can cause money. We all know how difficult it can be to get a constant flow of money going. Do you want to risk that for $8 dollars a month?
I know about a free hosting service that can give you the initial boost you need and besides the PHP support and FTP access, it's not plagued with any type of banners, popup or advertising, just pure and clean free hosting with no strings attached but upgradable to a paid package if you like the service, the url is trustedhosting.info
My concert site in the siggy is Weebly, and I think it looks pretty good, I learned a lot, and after 2 months got PR3, which is good. Have had a bit of traffic and a few sales. I am moving more in the Wordpress space (free so far) and am really enjoying it so I think I will go to the self hosted WP sites very soon. Great thing is you can learn on the free WP, then upgrade. Definitely recommend getting the domain name once you are serious, containing one of your keywords. I know this thread is over a week old, but I recommend Weebly too. The website in my signature was also made with Weebly. It is very easy to use and is free...unless you buy your own domain name, which I recommend doing. It is a nice place to start since it is drag and drop...very easy to create a nice looking multi-page site fast.
