OK. There is a lot of talk about hosting business models- Free Hosting - earn revenue from ads, upgrades etc. Risky as you have fixed monthly hosting costs. Paid hosting- sell cheap hosting (a buck or two per mth). You have flexibility to control your pricing as you have to pay for fixed hosting costs. Affiliate/ Reseller Hosting- earn commissions by selling on behalf of big hosts like Hostgator etc. You don't have much flexibility in setting prices as in most cases you do not have any fixed hosting costs. It can also be as simple as putting affiliates links in your website or emails or setting up a store website with backend work done by hosting company. Which earns more profit (NOT revenue)?
