Sup all just passing this along. www.whackahost.com is a new site that helped me out. They have a help desk here http://whackahost.com/web-hosting-help/ where you can ask any hosting questions you might have. Then they can help figure out what host is best for you. They were real cool, quick to respond and even set up my forum for me. I know that might be simple for some people, but for me it was nice to have my questions answered and then the help with the forum. I was all ready to go crazy and drop $150 a month on a dedicated server, but they were able to figure out my requirements and then realize that I only needed a basic shared plan to start with. Saved me some money. I ended up hosting with host gator and im loving it so far. Just figured I would pass this along for newbies out there who have a lot of questions. Good luck, I know finding a web host can be very frustrating!
Ah yeah whackahost is good. Their main guy "i think it was john?" is cool and very helpful. Were able to answer some questions for me. Still haven't chose the host but its nice to get an unbiased answer.
