I have often seen many people offer free hosting on this forum. What's the reason? There must be some catch. Do they make it difficult for you when you decide to switch to some other hosting company or do they charge heavy fees when transferring?
Hello, We do offer Free hosting plan with 1GB bandwidth We don't ask for forum posting or putting ads on client pages The thing is, 1GB of bandwidth doesn't cost us anything while it might mean a lot for someone who just wants a personal blog or something It also gives the client a free method of testing hosting quality without paying any money and someday he might upgrade to paid plan after he enjoyed the free service for few weeks/months
iSPONT free web hosting offers 3GB of space, 30GB of bandwidth, with no forced ads! We generate revenue to pay for our servers by the advertisements we display on our pages. If you would like more information, feel free to visit http://www.forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=450448 or http://www.iSPONT.com. Good luck!
Hosts like www.110mb.com offer everything free. But some upgrade services there are like mysql & cgi. PHP is free. No ads.
Most of them selling me hosting BUT question is what is the catch? Is it hard to transfer later or they charge heavy fees?
We offer free hosting...What's the catch? There is none...in fact, our domain even says so (www.nocatch.net) We don't force ads, and we don't force posts. The way we survive is by providing only what we can afford to provide for free. We cover costs with ads on our main site, upgrades to paid hosting, and donations. It's not a huge money-making business, but it's good to be able to make some money and help others at the same time.
