I got a domain and a free host is it true that you get less traffic if you're using a free host but with a paid domain?

The traffic is the same, your concern should be the stability of a free host. How long they've been in business and if their profitable you don't want them closing up shop on you and losing all your files.

As a result, yourhost.com will get a better SERP. :)

    Hi,

Free hosting has its limitations. In a way, yes it is possible that you will be getting less traffic from free hosting because normally, free hosting will provide you with a subdomain which is not seen as well and good for ranking in the serps. You may choose to own your domain but go with free webhosting but I do not recommend that because of the restrictions they impose on you. In some cases, you may even have to display their ads and have not much control over your website.

Free webhosting is ok if you are building a simple website as a hobby and not doing business at all.

Paid hosting is so cheap and affordable nowadays that almost everyone can afford it. So, my advice is no point in doing that especially if you are running a full business. Quite a number of internet marketers use Hostgator

Free host is a big NO NO.
Pay a few bucks for a real host in order to have a complete control over your site.

Your free host provider won't handle too much traffic anyway.
