free graphics centre - please review

I would like constructive feedback on what you think of the site www.freegraphicscentre.com , how could it be improved and how quickly / slowly the pages load in different browsers ?

1) Not a fan of that FGC logo - the 'G' looks like somebody graffiti'd your logo, in a bad way.

2) Site initially took a good while to load, much slower than the average site.

3) Those image hover-over windows take ages to load for some images, yet less than a second for some. Still, they need to be almost instant otherwise you run the risk of losing the viewer.

4) Didn't Adsense recently update their policies regarding showing ads directly below banner images as to appear that it is the main menu? Hmm, I may be wrong, but the thought does sound familiar.

I'm with spider man on that logo - Not a fan of the graffiti look

Everything was loading quickly for me, but I am on broadband.

Thought it was a nice professional look overall

 

The site loaded very fast, very professional looking site, clean design and I love the graphics. I haven't got a problem with the logo, but thats only my personal taste. I like it!

Here is my feedback on the website.

1) Looks good, Easy navigation, Design is good.

2) It took a long time to load, as mentioned by others above the logo needs a redesign.

If you can work on the above point, the site will be great.

I will work on Logo but am not sure what I can do about speed of loading pages.

1. Compress image sizes
2. Tidy up html and css code
3. Remove unnecessary code from scripts

 

You really made me take a good look at my site logo and I agree it isn't very good. So I thought that I would run a competition for others to design a logo for me. I have advertised this in on my site as shown below. I would be really pleased if anyone from DPF wants to enter.
