From what I know, Google Webmaster tools are totally free, & have been free from when they were launched. How can Godaddy claim that they are offering Free Google Webmaster Tools ??

They do, and so do a lot of other hosting places and they give $25 Google AdWords Credits and $50 Microsoft adCenter Credit.

My point is, how can one claim to give something for free (& advertise it) when it is already free ??

Maybe they have an integration in their cPanel that is directly linked to the tools. It most likely is aimed for the newbie who has no idea what Google Webmaster Tools are. It is a great gimmick because if you do not know that they are free, it sounds like a special bonus.

Because it IS free. Truth in advertising.

It would only be wrong if they said, "Google Webmaster Tools! Only $50.00!".

It would have been right if it was NOT free, & they were paying Google instead of the customer (like the adwords credit)

They just give a link to google webmaster tools. I paid at godaddy for 1 year for the hosting but I moved to hostgator just after 1 month.
