I didn't like Punbb, nearly everything was a add on including PM's.

Yes total rip off that xenobb is hehe. It is punbb with mods from punres.org and new skin. Probably with lots of bugs and security flaws...Use it on your own risk haha

 

xenobb is absolutely fine.

The best free forum software I have used.

I like it even more then IPB when that was free.

 

Like I said ... It is punbb rip off .... It is fine and beautiful and everything ... I just wonder since it is rip off of punbb ... probably there are security risks that were not fixed ! man that is what I am talking about.....

 

I just checked your xenobb ... Total I mean total rip off of punbb .... I checked everything and this software is just punbb with mods availible on punres.org !! be aware that it also have serious vulnerabilities in login.php and probably other files too.

Meaning there is nothing wrong at all with someone taking the software and making it better, which is what Xenobb is so Total I mean total rip off of punbb .... I am glad someone has taken the time to install the neccessary basic stuff on the forum, it saves me wasting time installing Punbb and then also installing stuff like a PM system which should already be there in the first place, Xenobb has just taken Punbb and made it much much better, especially with the SEF urls, nothing wrong with that at all, it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing.

As for 'serious vulnerabilities', to my knowledge I havent heard of any but if you can back those accusations up please do so.

You seem like a punbb fanboy in all honesty....Xenobb have just taken punbb and made it much better, basically what punbb should be in the first place, as I said, it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing and I am glad someone has done it.

 

I just got a reply from the forum owner, he has this to say about them 'ripping punbb off'.

So it seems he has the punbb's creators agreement and he knows all about xenobb.

As for the security issues he said

Man those mods are from other people and that author is saying he did everything ... how simple is that to understand ... even .htaccess rewrite which you point out is done by other guys.....pm messaging also .... should I copy/paste the code to prove it ?
