I.E topic-title-here.htm Want a free board that has that included or with a hack, anyone know of any apart from phpbb? Thnx
According to this thread, somebody is working on this for SMF: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=64513
SMF has pretty good URLs right out of the box. - it doesnt put the keywords inthe URL but it does eliminate variables in the URL and gives .html URLs you can take a look at my forum in SMF: http://www.natschat.com/forum/
I dont want paid forum software for this, hence why I said I want a free one, doesnt matter how much VBulletin was, if I wanted that I woulda got it.
I've seen a couple like that but would ideally like keywords in the url if possible. I am considering SMF tho, thanks
I hear ya. I would like to have the keywords in the URL too. I havent been able to find a plugin that does it yet. If you track one down, please let me know.
Sure, only forum software I know that does that for free is phpbb, but I really dont wanna use that if possible as they have so many security flaws and heard many horror stories.
What about this http://www.seo-board.com/ "SEO-Board is a forum software that's fast, free, and search engine friendly. It is the perfect solution for small and medium-sized sites." so they say
i got vbulletin cracked up, but still deciding to use it or not, will they trace me if i use it ?? will they know ??
Agree, I have been using SEO board for testing purpuses with good performance. Using cracked software is not a good idea, particularly with lots of people with nothing else to do that find others using illegal copies to report them without obtain nothing in return. Better try a vBulletin-like free solution: http://www.vubb.com
not having keywords in the url is not the end of the world, i dont think search engines give it that much importance.
click on their download links but then at the sourceforge, the quotes "No File Packages Defined" appears ..
http://www.animalcrossingwildworld.com/forums/ ... this is the forum and the thread is here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=47783 .... hope that helps
