I'm about to purchase an established free file upload site. It generates a bit adsens cash but the more the sites gets popular the more traffic gets generated approx. 1800GB/month now ... Is it worth it? Or is the cost killing the profits? Is it better to monetize it as premium service on a certain level of popularity? like rapidshare did?
If you can find a way to make more than adsense will pay you could make money. Maybe some affiliate programs could earn more money.
just go through clickbank. If you are new to a file upload I suggest that you dont purchase one that is using 1800gig traffic a month. A hosting package for this will cost hundreds a month. It would be EXTREMELY hard to make this money off of adsense. If you do purchase this site it would probably be more worthwhile to find 'partners' wherby wen a person is uploading they see the partners infront of them.
