ok. If free server is not available than what is the best and cheapest Mail Server in the Market. Which may run on Windows XP or Red Hat Linux.

From my point of view this request tries to make valid the sending of spam, otherwise why asking for a free or reliable mail server installed on your own when there are lots of newsletters/email relay services offering free trials and affordable prices, but only if you validate legitimacy of your list

No I cant rely on these services. What is the guarantee that these newsletters/email relay services will not misuse my mailing list ids.

Before you even bother, check your connectivity to make sure that your isp does not block outbound on port 25. Many do, and for good reason.

I would suggest running your own mail server straight from your PC, in the assumtion that your ISP will require your username and password for sending.

Port 25 is usually blocked when you try to relay emails without authentication.

No, port 25 out of the isp network is usually blocked period, except for the isp's relay servers.

Some isp relay servers require authentication, some don't.

The ones that don't understand that the email is originating from their own clients by virtue of their connection from inside the isp network.

He came off as a spammer to start but afterwards mentioned his needs are legitimate. A list of 3000 is very reasonable, especially if they are legitimate opt-ins.

I sell an opt-in mailing list management solution, ListMailPRO.

Hosts supportive of opt-in email are a little hard to come by. I have reviewed some here (sorry no live links - I've only been a DP member 2 days):

You should -never- send commercial email through your ISP. This is what commercial hosting is for. With hosting you have the benefit of using your domain name so your mailings look all that much more professional. While you can use your ISP and hope not to get caught I think their IP addresses are far more likely to be blocked for spam due to high rates of virus-infected computers on their networks, etc.

    Regards
