I have been selling an eBook on my site for several months now. The way that I have been doing it is to simply create my eBook in word and then print it out to disk as a pdf file. However, I would like to start selling it on Amazon and so I'll have to go with their proprietary format for the kindle. So the first thing I need is a free (or darn close) eBook Cover creator. I can't find anything on the web for this - does anyone have any suggestions? And please note that I need it to work with Amazon's format and with (I guess) Word. Any help or advice is much appreciated...
I need a cover creator, preferably that creates a .doc so I can put it into my existing word document. I admit I don't know what I'm doing, so any help is much appreciated...
Ok. Visit This site http://LinkX.In/freecovercreator Upload or locate your book cover page, this will create 3D cover. And then use that image on Doc file in MS Word or Open Office.
Thx! I tried out a couple of things. But here's what I'm missing: 1. I don't really know what to do with the image once I get it onto Word. I mean I know how to resize it and all that, but I don't know the layout to make it look like a decent book cover. Do I need a template for that? 2. I don't know how to put letters onto the image if I want to do that. Do I have to have Paint Shop Pro or something for that?
1. Insert it using insert image from file, then drag to re size. Place it where needed. If you got that 3D Cover in png then place in on a page and u could put text and copyright notice in bottom. 2. Yea , u could do that easily. ACDSee is also good enough for it, u could use any software, just import the image and bring a text box and place it as needed, then rotate or change drop shadow for keeping design looking alike. If still facing problem, i might try to help u out. I am not pro in this, but i could try to help u.
Thanks for all the help! I have a question about #1: how do you insert text into the png file? Are you saying you do that with PaintShopPro or ACDSee? I don't think that's what you're saying, though, because with those programs you can add lettering onto any kind of image, right? Again, thx for the help...
