Whooa - I'm getting alot of questions about this. Yes - it is legit. The domains are co.cc's (Cocos Islands - where ever that is...), Yes - google treats them exactly the same as any other ccTLD . An example...I registered http://www.seo-jimmycrabb.co.cc (amongst others), right now it just forwards to my blog but I may develop it and add some content to it at a later stage.
