    errr

.biz have always been free for the first year.....

and, you just linked to your site to get traffic, and when you click the 1&1 image, it is a affiliate link a believe.

I would not go up for it. 1&1 is one of the worst websites ever. Go look up the reviews guys! I ordered 7 domains and the next minute I saw the bad feedbacks and etc about them automatically renewing your domain, even if you decide not to do it. I canceled all 7 of my domain the next minute through the phone. I would also watch out for their support because they do not speak fluent English.

    my very brief review:
Yes, I was able to get free domains from this
Yes, it sets up a paypal contract to autorebill after a year
Yes, you have to cancel it before that happens or you will have to pay their standard rate

however, I have worked with 1and1 in the past and was able to cancel services with no problem.

That was me last week, stuck in your situation. But follow these steps and you'll be fine:

    1. Login to Paypal.
    2. Under My Account, hit Profile.
    3. Look through Recurring Payments or Pay List and cancel the subscription by clicking on it.

You do not have to call them either, you can easily go to:

https://cancel.1and1.com and login with your customer number and cancel the domains.
