Don't Ever go with .tk they are A SCAM, once your site gets a good traffic they'll still your domain and use it to publish thier adds! that's happend to me and many others.
I am not sure what you want the free domains for... tks are great for glype proxy server installs, but either you don't get traffic to them after a month, or they pull the traffic from you (and the domain). But grab 2-300 of them and some free webhosting, and you can push your own ads long enough to make some dough. But from a content-seo-domain point of view, useless, not because of the seo, but from domain ownership stability, they still SELL domain names by the way, but hyi8u976.tk will always be free, to burn for a month and run.

Long time not visiting free TK registrar service nor using such domains, but sgnng up just to start an experiment and I found improvements in the service if compared with my first time at that place (about 6 years or more ago) Banners, pop-up windows or required link back are not longer enforced You can now set up your own nameservers instead of getting an URL forwarder Custom nameservers are also possible, if you want to set up a virtual server or white-label reseller account You can now registrar as many free domains as you want with no restrictions Vistors per month required to keep your domains have been reduced to 25 Like said before, just trying TK out to share with you this overview that might be a temporary solution for those members who can't afford to pay a cheap domain name or can't do it. Remember that many of them can be really young people with no cc or paypal access, or are individuals just starting their Internet experience.
used to have a free .co.cc not sure what happened to the domains i registered though that was like year 2009
