    I see what you mean.
No matter where I click, the URL is still www .ruse.tk (but not www .ruse.tk/about.php)

Any surely we can't list it as www .ruse.tk/about.php It just goes to the homepage. I need to reveal my real domain in this situation.

I think it is a common problem for all free domain, isn't it?

Given that a domain is usually less than US$10 why don't you just buy one. it's the price of a few beers, less than a movie...

Sorry, US$10 for how long (eg 1 month or 1 year)?

By the way, my website is not going to be profit-making. It is somewhat a personal website which provide useful stuff and help others.

The traffic is expected to be low for some periods (eg 1-2 years). I don't know if I can make a successful website either.

So is it wise to buy a domain name now, or should I wait until my website becomes at least a bit popular?

Buy it now... because when you change domains when you buy your own, you will basically have to start again. Your users will be disadvantaged, and you will have no search engine results and hence nobody turning up to utilise the resources you offer.

Invest $5 now, and you will build knowledge, a name and you will never regret it.. :)

    Not really.
If you don't have, what you do is to prove proof/evidence that you are a student. It states what you need to send in its website.

In most cases, domains are registered in terms of years. You can get .info domains for less than $5 a year at many places, and other TLDs (com, net, org etc.) for between $7 and $9 per year.

And if you thow adsense on your site you will recoup the $$$ within a year, even if your site has low traffic. Just don't click the ads yourself and do follow the rules

Affiliates, Yahoo, selling ad space on the website, selling links, etc.

But maybe this is not the correct forum to get this type of info.:)

you will make the most out of a website by simply geting its name out to people.

Once you have a steady stream of traffic, then you worry about revenue. Not the other way around.
