free domain for life from Microsoft

    If you have a credit card, you can order one for free, no charge but need credit card, why? to make sure you are a real person and you need it for purpose not for reselling

    The only downside is that the basic account is far too restrictive to make any use of the domain. So most peeps end up transferring the name after 60 days.

    I have one of those, and as a free account it isn't too bad. But you have to use their site builder, which is pretty limited. It is not a domain I use much, so for now it stays there, but someday I will be moving it.
    It is a good way to get started for free though.
