Depends - do you want your website still up when the host decides that it ain't worth it anymore? ORRRR No biggie if you enjoy advertising their stuff.

Get real - either you want a website for its value, or you're just D!NK!NG AROUND

Thanks All; Thank you all for responding. Free Website hosting comes with a price - so much for FREE. Payed Hosting is actually more effective and "cheaper".

if you asked something free, its aint. If someday you have look free domain + free hosting in here, must be something behind.

You must do it something like design, coding, than people will give you money or you can trade your services with a both.

You can get good enough hosting if your site is simple, I have a VPS, however i could easily run one of my forums off a freehosting, not all places are bad, some free hosts are ad free, and give plenty of diskspace and bandwith, just depends what else you need

Yes free domain and hosting exist.
The down site using free domain is that the owner of the domain can take it back anytime he want.
While for free hosting, you'll be in same IP with many site which is no good for SEO.

    - Free Domain + Free Web hosting ?
This is very rare to find. If there is a service like this, they are running their website on the charity of other people. There is no way that a person would like to spend a hell lot for providing this free service.

    - Free Domain + Paid Web Hosting?
Yes, this is possible. You'll see many hosts doing this but on a reasonable level of hosting package.

There are always conditions and loop holes to snatch the domain away if it is any good to themselves. What do you think on how they make profit by just giving the domains for free ? If the site becomes more active, they just sell it away! That is one of the major point which makes them more unreliable.

    - This would go off discussion and so i would just stop here. :)

It's best to register your domain with a large domain register that's been around a good number of years. Last thing you want to happen is your web host folding up shop and taking your domain down with them. You can always find a new host, but can't always save your domain at the worst of times.

Register with Godaddy.com or any other large company like them.

Before i used namecheap and name.com i used to use a different company that have been around for a while, However that didnt stop them trying to take my domains away when i cancelled my hosting with them..... Long story short i had to threaten to take them to court and eventually got my domains back

For a free domainname go to co.cc and for free hosting I advice Awardspace, Freehostia and Bryansoft (post2host).
But consider to buy a professional domainname and professional hosting. You're all set with less than $10 a month. If you have a good site you will earn the investments back.
