I'm going to launch a free directory submitter software in a few days. Here are the screenshots of the software. http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07312/screenshot1.jpg http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07312/screenshot2.jpg http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07312/screenshot3.jpg There are not many, because the software is in its early stages at the moment. It will submit your web site to 50 directories fully automatically and 100 semi-automatic directories (meaning you will only have to enter the turing number manually) As a result, increasing backlinks. It will have a built in list of 150 of these directories with a good PR 2-8. More directories will be added in future. I just wanted to ask, how many of you would download it. Considering its free, i don't know if its worth the effort or not. Thanks (I don't really know if this is the right section, if its not, please move it to the right one)
Ok, if its free i would download it and check it out. But what is the catch? Why would you make it free?
considering that a program like that would save alot of time and trouble. i would definitely give it a shot.
Will you please, please make a Mac-compatible or online option? There are like a million of these that only work with windows, make one that is cross-platform and you could sell it for sure or get jillions of free downloads. I have been after one for months, and there is no directory submitter for Mac users or those who otherwise lack windows. That means huge link potential at all the Mac software sites and I bet a lot of downloads. Also, how flexible will it be for adding directories? That's important, most people want the top 500 free directories (no reciprocal) with PR. I know I do. I would be very interested in this tool and if it worked as above, I would be happy to make a contribution to your development costs as well.
Yea I would give it a try. But is there a reason you want to give it to people for free after putting so much effort to make the software?
I am interested in what the catch is though, not that I would necessarily mind a catch. I am interesting in knowing how useful such a tool would be though. I had submitted my sites to DMOZ, Google and Yahoo.... Don't all the other search engines cull these directories for their search engines?
I am interested, will it continue to be free or you just need beta testers? PM me the download link i will give it a try.
How will this software really be helpful? Not trying to say I would not use it. But, just how many search engine submissions beyond that of Yahoo and Google matter?
No that's not what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was this: Yahoo and Google are directories that other search engines use. My understanding was that SE like Ask Jeeves and Alta Vista use yahoo and Google to add to their directories and if you have submmitted to Google and Yahoo, you are in essence submitting to the other search engines. So, why is it necessary to submit a site to anything other than Google, Yahoo, and maybe DMOZ?
Directories such as this one http://www.half-a-million-worth-of-directory.info/ give you backlinks, therefore help you achieve better position in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. Even though IMO directories no longer work as well as they used to.
But this one is a paid directory, correct? So would having a software proggy like the one suggested in this thread be of help for this directory?
