Hi. I’m looking for a free directory script that generates static html files, or any script that the directories structure will look like http://www.mydomain.com/xxx.htm
When using the site-sift script or the phplinkdirectory script those functions are build in the script, but your isp must be able to handle a mod-rewrite to use the rewrite engine of the apache server.
Anyway , You can use mod_rewrite, its a simple mod for apache server, that makes urls on the fly, you can choose urls as you want. Wordpress and Joomla have this function, So you can install Joomla for your site and you'd get a http://www.yoursite.com/directory/ or directory.html anyway you want with the help of using Open Sef and Mos Directory Plugins
I think this is what you try to do. Either go crazy, out of the point, and when you do not have an answer, call it a joke. Go to the General Chat and enjoy your PJ's.
Well, it was a good example of what Trueman is looking for and I don't really think it's funny to imply that there would be a reason not to click a link to one of my sites. Call me sensitive ... It wasn't me, although I did think about it .
OMG, People saw my 1 liner PJ, and no one saw that god damnit para of meaning full on topic info, thats lame
Thanks VS. I am glad you like CPLinks. Sam, let me know if you need any help with CPLinks or CPDynalinks, the script that uses mod_rewrite. CPLinks on the other hand created static html files. Other then this, they both work the same.
Trueman I might be a bit late here but SEOChat have a tool which does it for you. I have no idea what you're meana do with it because I haven't used it yet but check it out (hopefully we're talking about the same thing here... ) http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/url-rewriting/
Whooo. Great info, thank you all I find darkhodge tool link and honey very useful. Honey – how can I use CPLinks to created static html files? – It’s very interesting. And I’m looking for dynamic url because search engine cut your pr when you are using sub directory
how now i see this http://www.cplinks.com/cpdynalinks/index.html it's a cp dynamic links - i will try it thank you
www.wsnlinks.com has an option to create static pages. But as the others have pointed out you don't need them if you use .htaccess properly. Static pages = more work
great, can you tell me how to rewrite this http://linkexchanged.info/index.php?c= c=[number] to http://linkexchanged.info/xxx.htm p.s - you can download wsnlinks.com from http://scripts.webmastersite.net/wsnlinks/preview/ - it's report a bad url
