Free Directory Deep Links - SEO Friendly

I'm allowing deep links in this new directory (at least for DP members). http://www.aar8.com

Here's the rules. You can add a link to each major section of your site. Add the link with the appropriate link text and URL to fit that section, in the relevent place in the directory.

Example. Your site has a main news type section (domain name), a forum (lets say a sub domain), and a blog (in a folder off the main domain).

You can request 3 links (3 different URLs) in the three sections of my directory that applies.

If your site is only a blog (etc) then you only get one link.

I like longer descriptions. The description should fit the url it is applying. if it is about a blog, describe the blog, not the general site. Spammy link text or description submissions will get deleted (not that any of you would do that )


I will try to keep up with the requests but be patient if I get a bit behind.

This is a brand new directory, I have a large number of links ready to point to it but I am waiting until I get most of the categories with something in them to stave off the duplicate content filters.

One more rule, family sites only, no sex, drugs, gambling, you know the list.

Only a few are taking advantage of the deep links though

I noticed that, Guess they are trying to avoide the red flags. Over 50 sites have been added including Syted and Kiviniar.

It's pretty amazing that when you say no sub-domains you get tons of them anyway and when you say they are okay you aren't getting flooded.

Yah, I'm kind of surprised, only got a couple subdomain. They will probably come in time.
My reasoning is that is a person using the directory (I know strange thought), might not find you because you could only list in one of your main categories, then it probably isn't doing either of you much good.

I've got about 700 categories right now, I'm hoping to get something in most of those before adding another large section. Don't want Google to find too many duplicate pages (low or no content).

There is a regional in the niche directories section, but that is the only one I have at this time.

 

Just a note. Only submit one page in a category. If you site does not nave sections to it that would fit in different categories don't submit several pages to one.

Also if you do have several sections like a main site and a forum these will fit in two separate categories. IE entertainment/music and forums/music.

Thanks, I'm trying not to reject sites that would qualify if placed in the right place.

Another note. Different articles on a subject do not rate as a change of sections in your site. A section with article and a section with product sales, probably would.

Wow! 300 submissions in one night. I am now officially behind.

I'll be making this a paid directory once most of my categories have something in them (I have 700), so I will likely be able to catch up on everyones submission by then, so be patient.

Had someone try adding categores of thier directory, as deep links (to non directory categories of my directory). Had to think about that, but I will not be adding other directories categories as a deep link. This would make a user go from seaching my directory to now searching another directory, but not actually getting reffered to a site of interest.

So, directories, can only be added to directory categories, and only the entry page of the directory will be accepted, if your entry page (to the directory) is a deep link or subdirectory that is fine!

 

To hold off any complaints. If I've rejected your site and it is a quality, english site, then you probably put it in the wrong category, likely you didn't even get it close.

Sorry, but I'm trying to get to the sites that have made sure they wre in the right category, If your description, URL, and link text don't fit the category, I don't even look at your site.

About 200 more submissions, and I will move this to a paid directory, catch up on the submissions and start putting forth some real effort to promote this and make it a valuable resource.

Once again, don't submit the same URL, description and link text to different categories. If you have a different section you would like in a different category, make the link text, URL and description fit the entry page for the section you are submitting!
