Directory Roll is working real nice for me right now - no reciprocal, no cost... of course they will take their sweet a*$ time approving me I'm sure. That directory of other directories is real nice though.

I often wonder how effective these directories really are. I hardly ever see an testing/results from people who have submitted to man of the ones on a site like directoryroll.com. All I hear is "it works well for me" kind of comments. I searched DP forums for results-related posts for directory submissions but came up empty. Does anyone have more data to back up the time it takes to submit to many of these directories?
