I have now had an email from two different companies offering to give me free advice on my Adwords account and provide a 2% rebate on adwords fees if I give them access to my account (providing I spend more than £5k per month)

They are reputable companies and wondered if Google give out rebates, I have asked them and they say no but wondered if there are any similar cases you have heard of?

They are offering this "service" so that they can become qualified companies. The only "rebate" you will get is if your account is less than 14 days old.

That is what I am thinking. You'll get $100 voucher. Looks like they are trying to pump up their "managed spend." I don't think they would be too happy about you unlinking the account when you are done with the $100 in clicks. Looks like the competitive race is on for the nifty Google AdWords Qualified Company logo (managing spends over 100k per quarter), now that it is becoming more common.

    Here is the offer

    Google Rebate

2% cash back on advertising on adverts targeting the UK and Europe. You will be informed how much to claim 45 days after each quarter has ended. Payment will be made in 15 days via bank transfer to your business.

You will not be able to claim for any advertising carried out before joining XAgency. For example, if you signed up in June 07 you can not claim a rebate for advertising spend for May 07. You can not have adverts in your account which target outside of Europe. You may target outside of Europe but you must open another account to do so. XAgencycan help you with this.

Example: You joined XAgency on 1st Jan. You will be able to obtain a 2% rebate on advertising on Google for Jan , Feb, March. Lets say you spent a total of £50’000 for the whole quarter then on the 15th May we will receive a statement confirming the spending. We will then inform you via email.

Example: This email confirms you have spent £50,000 for Q1. Please raise an invoice for 2% = £1000 This will then be paid 15 days after receipt of your invoice. In order to qualify for this you must spend more then 15,000 pounds per quarter on Google.

XAgency must act as your consultants at no charge and give you advice in order to improve your advertising campaign. Access to your account is a must.

If these companies are under the 100k per quarter threshold and they can gain a few extra high spend (see £15k min quarterly budget above) accounts linked in their MCC to push them over it will trigger a sliding scale rebate for them (more than the 2% offered) but the t&c's state they have to be actively managed by the agency which is why they are offering management for free.

The result = you get some adspend money back, they also get some money back (minus what they give to you).
