My cousin has recorded a cd, and I thought I'd help him promote it. What I thought I could do was to buy 30 cd's from him, and give them away on my blog. This way, people from all over the world will get his cd, and it would spread the word about his music. He doesn't have a record deal, he paid for everything himself. The problem though is that my blog is not related to music, my readers may like the music, or not. I guess that they would appreciate to get a free cd in the mail. I want to help my cousin, but on the other hand, I am paying for the cd's and would want something in return, maybe like extra visitors. Do you have any suggestions on how I should go about giving away the cd's? - jens-
Your blog does`nt have to be related to music to give them away. Its a good idea to post about a different subject from time to time. Run a contest with the main prizes being related to your content and offer the cd an additional prize.
As long as the product you give away is free you don't have to work much as you don't have to convince anybody to buy it .Also love for music ,songs is something every human being on this earth shares . I don't think you will face difficulty in giving away cd may be through contest or just give it randomly ,even if its not your niche .
