    Has anyone made any significant earnings off a free blog site? And what blog site are you using?

    This is just my opinion, based on personal experience, however, if you are truly serious about making money from a website and can afford the hosting fees and domain name, I would always advise against a free host for a pro blog.

    I say this having averaged as much as $27 per day from a blogspot blog. I am not saying that you cannot make money from a free blog host. I am saying, however, that it is much more diffucult. Once I moved from blogspot to my own domain and came out of the Google sanbox, earnings increased by about 500% from AdSense alone. That doesn't include most of the CPM and direct advertisment opportunities that were unavailable to me before I moved to my own domain. Many businesses just won't advertise on freely hosted domains as rule.
