hi, i've been thinking for a while on this. but how can I make my own free blog service (like blogger) I need to know everything about it, does some of you have a similar service. do I have to watch out on some things, tell me everything. I'm going to make it for the middle-east, so I think I will make it kind of arabic and english. but I need to know about it, how you make one, what is needed etc. please tell me everything you know. thanks
First of all, get Wordpress MU http://mu.wordpress.org/ Make sure you read the terms of your hosting, and make it clear to your bloggers what they can and can't do (porn/wares/etc). Write up a good TOS and privacy policy - have a look at the Wordpress and Blogger terms, and copy/paste which ever ones you like the sound of. And if you ever get it up and running, make sure you backup your database AT LEAST every day.
wow, thanks it looks great. what do you recommend, using the wordpressmu, or just pay a programmer to make an unique script for me.
No need to reinvent the wheel. MU is good. Save your money for when you need to get some WP tweaks/hacks done.
