I need some banner sized pictures for the headers on a lot of sites, but I can't find any I normally use for example sxc.hu, but the pictures there doesn't fit the format of a normal site header. The pictures I need have the format of a banner and are at least 1000 pixels wide. Any idea where I can get a truckload of such pictures for free/very cheap?
I don't really understand your problem... Are you looking for pre-made headers that are like 1000 X 100, or something like that? If so, I don't know where you can find them. However, if you are just looking for images that can be used to make your own header, like a picture of a truck or something then I don't know why you are having problems with SXC. Most of their images meet your minimum width requirement, they just need to be cropped/ re-sized. Again. If you could be a bit more specific with your problem, maybe we could offer more help.
It is easy to crop the pictures, but most often the motive doesn't look that fantastic after the cropping. What I'm looking for are pictures that have already been cropped and still look great.
