Free audio chat script

    Im looking for a good free audio chat script with chat rooms and also allowing private voice chat for my website, preferably that wont eat up my bandwidth.
    Please list me some i searched all over google couldnt find good one. Please let me know if you have one.

    That may be a problem.
    That will be a problem. Your site will have to supply the bandwidth needed for the chats.

    Hi Rukbat can you please explain it to me the mechanism behind this audio chat... I mean why exactly it takes my bandwidth? Shouldnt it take from the users fro communicating via voice.

    They're communicating through your site. Many of them can't communicate directly from one to another because they use routers. If they don't communicate through your site, they have to communicate through some site - and you'd have to arrange that.

    There are three options:

    1) Provide the bandwidth yourself.

    2) Use Skype or someone else's server.

    3) Don't have audio chat.

    The fourth one - don't use a server - won't work for anyone who doesn't know almost enough to implement it himself. IOW, it can be done IF your users can forward ports in their routers. (And if someone writes the program for you. I doubt that anyone has, due to the fact that the majority of users wouldn't be able to use it, due to the router problem. I could be wrong - someone may have written a direct-client-to-client [DCC] audio chat program.)

    I like the option 2. Can you name some "someone else's server" and is it possible to let users chat with their skype id directly from my website?

    Google has a voice chat, so does Yahoo. You can also use Ventrillo, Voxli, Chat-place - do a web search.

    Directly? Not with Skype, maybe with some other chat software. (I use Skype, so I don't know what others are doing.)
