    you can go download.com than you can download your preferable antivirus. kaspersky will slower your PC much than the other antiviruses.

    Please don't listen to the people above telling you to use AVG, it's terrible. If you have to use free, get MSE or avast.

    Otherwise, Kaspersky and NOD32 are good paid AVs.

    I use Avast on my main machine and on my laptop I use AVG 2012. They're both great anti-viruses and I'd recommend both.

    Stay away from Security Essentials. It's horrible.

    NOD32 is a great paid AV though. ##

    avast is free antivirus and very user friendly. go to google and search avast. You just need to register after installation then you have free antivirus with realtime antivirus, shields and browser protection.

    I think Avira is good and free for you and can protect your importan files,But always remember to update your definision antivirus regulary to make your antivirus up to date.I sugest for you to always backup all important files in another backup media like dvd or external HDD.
