As of recent a few people have had their Amazon accounts banned for not displaying the correct Affiliate Statement on any page / post which contains an Amzn Affiliate Link. Not wanting to experience this myself, I had a look around, but could not find any solutions apart from playing around with the footer or manually placing the text into everypost. Considering I have sites with 300+ pages all with different themes, well, I thought I was in for a long night or two. So with necessity being the mother of all invention, I decided to code my own Plugin, which I now plan to share with my fellow WF'ers here in return for all the help you have given me over here. The Plugin will place the text into a neat blockquote, inherit your themes CSS and place the text at the bottom of your affiliate loaded post. The cool thing about this is, no matter which theme you have, it should not look out of place. The Plugin will also pull out your site url and site name from wordpress and put those into the text for you. All you have to do is install and activate and in just a few seconds your derrière is covered. If you don't want a page or post to have the statement (such as your 'contact' page) then there is a simple 'opt out' check box. This makes it a walk in park if you have a large amazon based site, all your posts will be covered, any you don't want to display the text can be opted out. Each time you add a new post / page, you can also select to opt in or opt out. Its a free plugin and I intend to keep it that way as its my first move into wordpress development. A sign up is needed, but this is so I can let you know about updates or bug fixes. I won't be sending you IM emails every other day. Here is an example: To get a copy, head over to my site.. Amazon Affiliate Statement Plugin P.s This is GPL licensed, so to the very few dodgy types, don't think of taking it to rebrand and sell somewhere else.
