No Affiliate Junktion is a typical scam. Just search through the forums online and you'll see it. Free domain name and $75 credit for hosting your>>> Free 75? Actually, they tell you where to host your site and you must buy via their link. Guess what, when you buy via their link they receive $100! Just check their hosting affiliate program to see what I'm talking is true.
That's correct, I discovered it too, and joined the iPower affiliate program. $100 per signup there sounds great LOL So far, my iPower hosting experience has been very good; no complaints there. But Affiliate Junktion (AJ) is not so great - I did join them first and I'm not at all ashamed to admit it, but beware, folks. Here are 2 directly verifiable examples: 1) AJ has misleading contact info. Today (2008-06-08) they still have false contact info on the affiliate page, saying: "Welcome to the Affiliate Junktion Program! I'm your affiliate manager, and I'm here for you if you have ANY questions regarding our program. First name Michael Email michael(at)affiliatejunktion.com". Substituted the at-sign here because of this board. If you try to email your dear affiliate manager, the message bounces back and you are redirected to an alien automated support system that sends automated mail... That's called spam in everyday life. I'm sure I could choose not to receive any email from that system, but then, I couldn't receive any info from "Michael" either, right? While I'm sure it's not illegal in any way to do like this, keeping false contact info on a company website for ages like that, stinks. 2) AJ should clearly point out that those free ad credits may not apply for non-US citizens. etc. etc. So now, I'll delete the AJ page from my iPower site and start doing something useful with the site instead. And "Michael", if you are into sports (martial arts like me), I'd like to go 12 rounds with you and see what you're made of for real, not just as an "affiliate manager" hiding behind your PC LOL You can bring your staff also, but 1 at a time, please. But maybe you're more into other, softer and sneakier games? This is purely a sports challenge, so it should be OK to post it here. kcartesius(at)gmail.com
I also heard that AJ is a scam. I refuse to try them because of all the bad things I've heard. Be careful!
Absolutely agree with you! They get paid $25 from iPower for every referral Have a look at Affiliate Ability Blog
