on this forum the other day, i downloaded a zip file of a free simple adsense tracking script that writes to a mysql database.... i installed it and its great, but it has no copyright/owner data in the files (only 2 of them)... does anyone know who wrote it etc? I want to elaborate on it (if they allow) and provide a better, free one for anyone to use...sort by page etc etc and hopefully include referrer keywords so you can trace your best performing pages withing an ad group and so on.. ive done searches on here but no way can i find it....... i would be glad if anyone can help...
Well, I have installed it, and it works. It's very basic, and doesn't provide a whole lot of detail such as keywords, etc.. But for free, it's better than nothing. Another question though. As far as the Javascript code. Is that to be placed after each adsense block on the page, or only once on the page?
Hi all! This is my first post I have been using the script for almost a month. I download it from www . monetizers . com . I think they are the script writers. freakrot, I do not know the correct answer but I placed the javascript after every adsense ads, and it work alright. But what I worry is I often found visitors of my site clicking an ads for multiple time within 3 to 5 secs.
I have noticed that too, it looks like some of the clicks are doubled and some are not. I will put up a test page to simulate google ads with that script and see what happens. I have a theory though. I think it might depend on how it was clicked. If it was just plain clicked, it might show up in the list once, but if you right click on the ad and select open in new window, it might register both the right click, and the open in new windows as clicks. I know that most of the time, when I am surfing the web, and I see an ad, I almost always right click and open in new window or tab. Some people do, some people don't.
If it's from the montizers, then it's open source and free to anyone. I use the ASP and PHP tracking programs. I have found that a right click will register as a click, but works well otherwise. Free stuff is cool
