I just read the latest blog post from Seth Godin, an awesome post about viral marketing. In this blog post, he links to his completely free ebook called "unleashing the ideavirus". I have actually bought the paper edition of the book and I really enjoyed it. 197 pages of how to do viral marketing. It's completely free, no sign up form or anything, just a direct link to download the ebook. Download it at "What is viral marketing?" - jens -
Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to read as soon as I have time to read 197 pages of viral marketing.
His site's traffic has gone down overtime, and besides, webmasters, like Shoemoney and Chow, have always had more visitors than him anyway, yet he writes on how to bring in more traffic???
Shoemoney and Chow might have more visitors than Seth Godin, but nonetheless, Seth Godin is an authority when it comes to marketing and this viral marketing ebook is very good (and free). Seth Godin doesn't just write about Internet Marketing and he's not a webmaster like Chow and Shoemoney (he is just launching his ideas, and he doesn't even allow comments). His ideas and books are just as much for "offline" marketing. Well, that's just my thoughts though
Hey, me to read the post....really impressive work.....I believe that Viral marketing is an outcome rather than a strategy...in other words if your audience likes what you have done to promote the products/services, it will become a hit....its a pure audience which makes a marketing "viral". It is a different story if the marketing becomes viral but does nothing to build up your sales figure
