What is going on with AdWords lately? I've launched a couple of Content Network-only campaigns this week that still have zero impressions. OK, I thought, so I will just launch one on Search. I launched an awesome idea last night on Search, both on a brand new AdWords account and on my old AdWords account. Brand new domain name also, since my other domain wasn't getting any impressions. NO ONE ELSE is bidding on this popular phrase. I set a decent budget and $0.20 clicks, just to get it going, then I would scale back. I logged in this morning and I still have ZERO impressions on Content or Search. With my NEW account, I went into Diagnostics and saw "Exceeded Budget". This B.S. apparently means that your account is "under review". OK, it's a new account...I get that. But on my OLD account I get nothing on Diagnostics. Everything looks like my ads should be appearing. When I search on Google for my key word / phrase and variations....NOTHING. WTF? P.S. - Oh, and my Q.S. is either OK, Good, or Great on all keywords...and yes, I chose 'Accelerated'. P.S.S. - When I search for my MAIN keyword (single word), Diagnostics says I have no ads set to display for this KW. This is not true, obviously. M
These threads always ALWAYS start at weekends. Ads have to be approved. Diagnostics tool is not great at giving accurate information. You'll have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.
Hmmm, well prior to these two campaigns, I had started another Content Network campaign on Monday. By Friday, I still had no impressions so I 'paused' that one and started these new ones last night. Basically, the last five AdWords campaigns that I have started have had no impressions, even after 5 or 6 days. Seems very strange to me. That's why I also opened the other new AdWords account and tried a new domain. M
Instead of repeatedly constructing campaigns and opening a new account, maybe you should have just tried to work out what the problem was after your first campaign's failure.
Thank you for that insightful observation. Had I known that something was wrong with the first campaign, I might have waited before starting the other four. Being that I launch 5 to 10 campaigns a day, I had no way of knowing that the first campaign wasn't taking off until it was too late. If you have anything that is actually helpful to add, feel free to reply. Thanks.
what's your price, you didn't refer any word with it, at the week end, the price of keyword will increase
You're welcome. Why would you launch so many campaigns in so small a space of time? How are you going to optimise them? How are you going to give each of them the necessary attention? And how many accounts have you got to be able to launch so many campaigns? Adwords only allow 25 active campaigns per account. It sounds like you're just throwing campaigns out there without thought. Do any of them actually turn a profit?
I must disagree with your technique. I am almost certain that you are wasting a lot of money. Adwords expense is brought down through optimisation. With so many campaigns on the fly, I doubt that you are optimising them properly. And if you are, you must teach me!
Some people wear blinders and think there is only ONE way to use adwords. That's fine, leaves the other ways free and clear for people thinking outside the box. Exceeded budget means a manual review is pending usually, but it shouldn't take 5 days...I'd call them.
I don't appreciate that snide remark, PPC-Coach. I don't wear any DAMN "blinders". I'm no newbie and I know how to use Adwords far better than most. You speak as though you know everything, when in fact many of your contributions to threads reflect otherwise.
You might want to start with a realistic bid price $0.20 is not enough to start ads to display even if your quality score is great.....Search or Content Network...... Start at $1.00 and cut back 10% once or twice a day for a few days..
Adwords usually burns me, I can run a week and get 2000 clicks for around $50, but BAM I log on one morning and there charging me $1.50 a click.
