Fraudulent Directory Submitter - Dirmania.org and Webdesignoffice.us

This could be the reason he has a pretty high PR because he got into some high pr sites even for a short time enough time for the bots to pick up his links, I think thats were the motives are. Hit and Run tactics...wonder if it really works that way.

I think I see the owner promoting it's directory here and no one butts-in to tell the potential customer to stay away.

And my experience with this guy concerns link-exchange. He put my link on webdesignoffice (I did the same on mine website) but after week or 2 he took it off without any reason. So I'm joining to the rest. Fu.. this guy.

 

Just wanted to jump in here because this is the same problem we had at Blogsvertise . We had the bloggers take all their posts down about this site though, and also drmania.

wow, I was just about to finish up the deal with dirmania for their $500 link plan.
I actually paid but the payment was on hold because the payment processor could not reach me on my cell. I was just about to authorise the transaction when i saw this post. funny thing though is that this directory is advertising on the forum, the guy is making posts offering link sales, etc. yet nobody is mentioning anything in those threads.

 

If this still apllies,then i was not aware of this till now
I will check all my directories and delete any submissions
in any and all of my network... thx for the heads up

If you are a NON phpLD directory, replace `PLD_LINK` with whatever your links table name is and replace `URL` with whatever your column name is in the table.

I hear this guy is selling site wide advertising and then removing the links after a few weeks. Just a heads up.

I never like to buy year links, you don’t have this problems with monthly links, only if they are very cheap.

I am not one to air dirty laundry, but this one takes the cake and I want to make sure that others are aware.

I would like to provide an update as to my experience with dirmania.org

Our company purchased some text link advertising with them. I don't care for year long subscriptions, but based on the money back guarantee (the guarantee is that they will maintain at least a PR7 for at least 3 of their web sites that they offer) I decided to go ahead and do it. Plus at the time, I wasn't aware of the issues with this web site.

Well after the last PR update they lost all their PR 7's, we tried to get our money back because of the guarantee. Dirmania.org strung us along for about 3 weeks stating they they were wiring us the money and to give a few weeks.

Well, anyway, I fought this on my company's credit card, and the we won on the money back portion.

So we were still out money, that was fine as it was only fair as our links were still on the site.

OR SO I THOUGHT!!!!

Turns out, (I guess from all the emails and such) dirmania figured out our IP address, and shows us a different page to us (see screen shot for proof )(look at the bottom) than what they show Google (see screen shot for proof).

I am posting this so that others know to double check their links against the Google Cache. I have called our credit card company, and they are fighting the remaining charges.

I think others have had similar experiences regarding their guarantee. Wouldn't be a bad idea to update this thread with the determination from your credit card company, even if it just gives this thread a bump.

Do you know if they pulled the cloaking with other folks as well? I know that others had trouble getting the money back on the guarantee, but wasn't aware of the cloaking stuff.


Will definitely let everyone know how the final dispute works out.
