Hello guys I got this email last Friday from somebody I don't know...
I already put my information and password and everything, but luckily i changed password back in the evening so my account was safe. Plus I changed it again in the morning when I called paypal just before 10 minutes. So please beware of this.. and if you get any link or email like this, First call paypal before clicking on link. :p

    Just some tips :
    • If you are using IE7, then always check for the website identification bar on the url (it turns green)
    • When you get some emails like this, never click on the link provided, just access the site manually by typing the URL your self

Thats all I can think of right now :)
    Regards,
    Kulwinder.

It's estimated that a staggering 50% of all phishing scams target PayPal/eBay customers. PayPal offer very good advice on how to spot phishing emails - I recently summarised how to identify PayPal phishing emails. The main thing is to double check the destination URL before clicking on a link in your suspicious email. Also genuine emails will include your actual name in the greeting instead of a generic 'Dear PayPal user' or similar. Forward suspect emails to for verification.

This scam is older than dust and looks like the system detected it, but you somehow ignored it.

Well you have to understand the intelligence of social engineering as some people are merely skimming through their emails quickly.

People who are ignorant to phishing methods will click and enter their details.

Its not paypal that got hacked, its something people make which looks totally familier to paypal but with a few weak strings. It is upto you if you are smart enough to notice its a scam or you get scammed :)

    Regards,
    Kulwinder.
