Same thing yo. You attempt to absolve the obvious culprits. Defend, question. Use whichever you want.

HOw civil could we be when you refer to me a gutter rat? When you're ready to consider atheists as equals who don't need islam governing their lives, we can be civil.

Yes yes. Come and worship. All are welcome. Tithing gets more expensive, though, the bigger altar you want to worship at :D

It is inappropriate to be civil with someone who wants to conquer or kill you.

Just as there can be no accord between sheep and wolves, there can be no accord between civilized men and those who wish to force them into "submission to the will of Allah."

Ah, well if you are offended by that description, then I apologise. There's no need for antagonisation, is there :D

The above description was supposed to be a metaphor about the spiritual state of atheists in general, not about their basic human rights.

I did not believe that I stated that I wanted to be civil with you.

Using any metaphor about rats in comparison with someones beliefs is offensive and you should know that.

Atheists generally just want to live their lives freely. Live and let live. Why do you consider this a negative thing? I have feeling you've misunderstood atheism.

Bahahaha! I see, the old divide and conquer routine.

Muhammad used that one many times, didn't he? Making peace with one group so that he could attack another group, and then going back and murdering everyone he had made peace with.

It's all part of hudna, isn't it? Peace for the sake of war.

Wait a minute. A few posts back you were saying that atheism was "common sense". Now you are offended because how I, as a theist, is describing your "beliefs"?

I find that a problem precisely because no one has a set of moral code or religious values to follow. "Live and let live"? That disturbs me. What is to prevent an atheist from raping someone and calls it "acceptable", for example? What is "moral" to an atheist anyway?

Ah.. now we can talk. Well, as an atheist (and i cant speak for all of them becuase we're all different), it's ok if it's not hurting another person. Obviously rape is intruding upon anothers freedom to be happy and is unacceptable. Just like murder, stealing, etc. I don't do them not because "god", "allah" or whoever told me not to, I don't do them becuase I wouldn't want it done to myself.

You don't really need god to tell you whats right and wrong. People have brains.. we could figure it out on our own ;)

Raping kids and stoning women in the name of allah is civil?

Even you have more common sense then that?

    Busted!

No matter how much time passes, this quote still stands out as one of the most honest things I have ever read on DP.

If everyone followed this simple principal then you could scrap religion.

I'm inured to the pain. :D

Most atheists I run into a absolute nutcases. It's no surprise to me that people don't like us. As a group, I don't even like us.

Plus, the homosexuals have a much more active PR plan and a much larger PR budget than we do. Hell, they have their own lobby.

What have we got? We've got.... umm... we get to sleep in on Sundays. Damn. We need to come up with something to compete with that "free eternal life" thing that the Christians and the Muslims have. That's a real seller.
