I hate using frames, i dont know why but i have never put a frame in any of my website. Its like a page in a page, eating excessive bandwidth!! What do you think of frames? Do you use them? What for?

Frames are no good for SEO, if you don't care about SEO then their good especially if you don't have PHP or ASP.

It's not so much SEO as it is accessibility, Mike.

with the advent of css/ajax/php/asp and a myriad of other technologies, anyone caught using an iframe in 2007 should be removed from their place of business and told never to make a web page ever again.

My first 2 web sites (1997) were framed since then I have been away from them. Though frames are frowned upon by SEbots, they can be helpful for certain applications/web sites. For instance, we regularly develop backend applications for clients using frames where SEO is not required.

If your iframe include good content, google hard to crawl it.

    performance:iframe tags
check source code out, you can find iframe text, that's why robot can't crawl even can't dispaly relevance ads
