Frame Cloaking

I know that frame cloaking is not allowed by Clickbank (that's what they say in FAQ Library)

However, when I cloak the hoplink using frames it still works(my affiliate ID appears on the bottom of payment page), and I don't understand why is not allowed. Does Clickbank do something to those who cloak hoplinks using frames?

Do any of you guys use frame cloaking? Should I do it?

What about SE, how do they react?

    Cheers

I don't use them personally, I assume it would work fine but CB might get mad if they found out somehow.

That's what I am thinking as well. But I don't understand why is it not allowed, if everything works....

Well, so no one uses it?

I guess its the same as pop ups. You could shove these frames in all of your websites and eventually make a sale.

Clickbank doesn't allow it, that's why I am a bit not sure about this.

Gah there was a thread on this a while back. With most people agreeing that this was not enforced at all. And that it was a old rule based on..... (I cant remember). It was something a rather that was applicable for that time. But nowadays basically no one really gets in trouble for it.

Then its probably better to ask Clickbank directly, because their FAQ Library might be out of date....

Interesting thread. Faq says FC its not allowed. Then I remember another thread where someone lost their account and it was discovered that they were using such a technique.

Have to love the mentality that it ok if you don't get caught!

I emailed Clickbank asking about this. Let's wait for the answer.

Actually, many of the popular link cloakers being sold use frames in one
way or another. If you purchase a link cloaker that removes the ?hop=
from the vendors url, there is a good chance it is using some kind of
invisible frames to create the cookie. Many of these are being promoted
as working great with Clickbank. Invisible frames are much worse than
visible frames in my opinion, the frame should be visible to your visitor. But
Clickbank seems to have no problems with them.

I know this is an old thread, just wondering if you ever got that response from clickbank. To use Iframes or not? that is the question?

Oh, I completely forgot about this thread. Nop, I haven't received an answer. Probably Clickbank didn't like my question....
