Hey Guys, This is my first post on here. Yay! lol. Ok so for this one campaign that I'm running, I pretty much found a set of keywords that are kind of working for me but now I'm trying to figure out the best way to increase conversions with them because they could be converting a lot better. My CPA goal is $1.50 and I'm at $1.30 right now and the average 1st page bid is $0.45 and i'm bidding $0.25. Would the next best step be to increase the bids to $0.45? Keep in mind the fear of losing money as a result of this. Any response is appreciated! Cheers, Siobhan
just remember, in internet marketing, the keyword is King. Nothing takes the place of a lot of research and testing before you spend any money
No, I don't want to increase my CPA. My goal for my CPA minimum is $1.50 so I'm doing pretty good with that. I just want to increase conversions without going over a $1.50 CPA.
It's difficult to answer your questions from the details you've given. Just to be clear, you want to increase your conversions without increasing you CPA. So logically your next step is NOT to increase your bids. I'm not sure if I get your question but if I were you, I would test several versions of my ads to see which ones would convert more. If you achieve a higher CTR it would increase your QS and should reduce your CPC for ad position. Speaking of which what's the current QS of your keywords? You can also experiment with your landing page so that you get more conversions per page. This could also reduce your CPA.
1) You want to focus on getting your quality scores to at least a 7-8. That will make your ads show higher for less money which in turn will increase your CTR (click through rate) because people tend to click on higher placed ads. 2) Your saying conversion, which to most of us online marketers, is measuring the point at which a user hits a goal. That goal can be a phone call, a purchase, a sign-up for a newsletter, or they fill in a form for you to contact them. So, let's make sure you asking questions with the right jargon. As was mentioned above, once you get them on your page, that's where your site design and layout will increase your conversion rate. We call that Landing Page Optimization. Good that you are asking. Again, pull back on the overall spend budget until you have enhanced your pay-per-click campaign fundamentals. Quality score being a top focus.
yeah i'm totally aware of what conversions are LOL. Anyways, I've done it all, landing page optimization, ad testing and the works. Just looking for any other ideas that might be floating around out there to get this QS up and eventually increase my conversions!
Oh and thanks for the pulling back on the overall spend budget suggestion because I was definitely thinking about upping it!
Glad something was of value. lol. The other technique that works sometimes on Google Adwords campaigns is creating individual ad groups for a specifc keyword that is troublesome with quality score. Not always, but sometimes it works out good.
