Eh. As an American I have a good standard of living and all of my basic necessities are met. Even if things are going to shit over here, I'm still grateful for every opportunity I'm given in this country.
LUXEMBOURG ??? I never know about that.. Maybe I will transfer there someday Anyway can you at least POST the whole top 10 here. Where did you find this source?
How wealthiness is calculated? Is it based on GDP or average income earned by a person and I am of the opinion that the latter method will give a better picture about the standard of living in a country.
sorry but i can't post pictures in my replys yet, but here's the link to the wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)_per_capita hope you find your self in the top
it's based in GDP (nominal) per capita, i've looked for the list of countries by GDP (PPP - purchasing power parity -) per capita, and found them as following: 1- Qatar 2- Luxembourg 3- Norway 4- Brunei 5- Singapore 6- United States 7- Ireland 8- Switzerland 9- Kuwait 10- Iceland For the full list please follow this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita
Yeap, the first 5 are mainly city states with the exception of Norway. I guess Norway has a small population but vast land and resources enabling it to be the wealthiest.
Yep! it's ture but i've checked many other websites and it's true, also I've read that in the national newspaper of Qatar...
I bet 99.765% of Americans couldn't find Qatar on a globe. BTW- is it pronounced "cutter" or "kuh-tar"?
Come on, Chavez isn't that bad! Recently he has been traveling around the world and should be absorbing some geographical knowledge.
Well, it's normal. You are in the US, having (had) a US education. Liechstentein has free public buses Andorra is tax heaven ETC... A knee's ligaments surgery in Belgium cost about $800 with 4 days at the hospital if you do not have an insurance. About $40 if you have an insurance. You know, there is civilization outside the US, where the same surgery cost me $52,000 only, thanks God I had an insurance...
