Found a great way to market - Youtube

Hey,

many of you know the traffic Youtube.com gets, well I started a little something on there, and please tell me if this has been covered.

Lets say you have a blog on celebs, or models, or anything that has pictures. Lets say a Britney Spears site. Now, what I did was make a 1 minute slideshow of the best pictures of (example) spears from my site, and made an intro and ending on windows movie maker that has the address to my site.

I was amazed that in 2 days I have over 1000 views on the youtube video.

Anyone try this?

Why not just put a footer on the bottom of your video that shows your site's address at all times? Wouldn't that be effective too?

Yep, very good idea to get visitors.

I think I'm going to make a little video, make it resemble a commercial, make it funny about my website and I'm going to post in on youtube.

He advocates using an inexpensive software, Vlog It, to create your own mini-videos for google video, myspace, youtube, blogs, websites and other mediums.

 

Yep. I learned this one a while ago. If you haven't done it, you may want it, it works.

What about subliminal videos address of your website flashing in the background only for a fraction of second. I wonder if that would work

 

1000 views but did you get any trffic from it? i hook up with some girls and now making video with them. I 've few of video break the 10,000 mark but i don't feel much impact to my overall traffic

 

Yeah, Youtube videos are a good way to advertise. While you're at it, submit to Google Videos too.

Also, if your video fits into the right category, submit it to StupidVideos.com and SpikedHumor.com. These are Digg-ish; if enough people like your video, it will end up on the front page, and you'll get a lot of hits much faster than you would on Youtube. I have 3 videos on StupidVideos.com, and they total about 150,000 hits.

I'm building 3 videos right now during my pre-launch phase. The site i'm building them for isn't live yet. I plan on encorperating my 3 promotional videos into my launch.

I'm still building my myspace accounts and trying to assemble a pre-launch list while building the site content. I want to have a pre-launch list of 12,000 not including myspace. As of now i'm around 5-6k and I also plan to put this video on my myspace accounts upon launch. Or well I will probably post it to my myspace account around a week after it's been on YouTube and I find the most popular video out of the three.

just wait untill youtube bans you for advertising, or copyright infringnment.

1000 views in 2 days?? my content was getting 100 000 views in 1 day,

 

How much traffic were you getting from it, connections?

 

if it's a legitimate video with original content you arent committing copyright infringement. Also if it's a legitimate video with original content and simply has the developers url in the video I don't see a reason for a ban.

 

great news youtube just removed another account,

they seem to be having some big crackdown or something lmao...

they dont even reply to emails..

the overall traffic is only a few thousand uniques a day, maby a few hundred search results aswell.

If your doing advertising in your video's, youtube will ban your account once it gets big hits volume, I had over 3 million hits on my 1st account, on my second 1 million....might start a new one...

this advertising concept is already pretty much over done, the only way to get good hits is by exclusives content,

I have tried the "hot babes" approach aswell...but its already over done to the max on youtube.

Do most of you create videos on a completely unrelated topic with the hopes of getting tons of views and getting your site seen by 1000's of people who just want to see a slideshow of hot women? Wouldnt that be useless traffic?

 

well for example my site is a car show coverage site. So I took several (I chose 25 pictures per movie) pictures for the slideshow from my gallery. This is on topic and anyone viewing the slideshow with enough interest to go to the website is targeted traffic.
