so a buddy of mines, cousin has a 360, one wireless controller, a really good steering wheel, 4 games all for 250 bucks. its a newer model (2007 make) so it shouldnt have the overheating problems the original ones did. Anyways...i thought it was a wicked deal so bought it, and I now hear that the 360 can run avis and divx with a update that you can download (can anyone confirm this?) as i have a tonne of movies in avi format that I would like to watch on it cause i think the 360 up converts dvds... So I need some suggestions on games to check out, I hear assassins creed was fun...gotta try halo 3 i reckon...gears of war... saints row...that super hero game thats like gta (name?) hows that sci fi rpg i keep hearing about? worth a buy or just a rent? anything else? i need a good hockey game, but like the more fast paced arcade style ones...any of those out for 360 right now? I am also on the fence about trading it for a ps3 cause ps3s can read avi files, upconvert and all that fun stuff...but if my 360 will do that i dont have to worry to much eh? anyways...thoughts? suggestions? cheers, Z
I also heard that the 360s dont have a hdmi cable output in them. In other words if i bought a hdmi cable to plug into it from my hdtv, would i be able to? I've heard both ways, but never seen the back of one to check. i recently heard that they dont, but newer versions being built will include it... lol im so out of the loop
Congrats on your console. But beware of chinese made. There are number of fake consoles on the market.
Halo 3 and COD4 are pretty good. If you like driving games give PGR4 a go too Oh, and if you like arcade games try Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS), I have recently wrote a review about it on my blog.
call of duty is the hottest game at the moment you should easily be able to tell if your 360 has hdmi out. if not, there should have been hd component cables when the 360 was originally purchased. you should ask the guy you bought them from if he has them. if he doesn't have them, you can go out and get some. if you have an HD tv, it's a must -dan

well thanks for the info all. I have played and beat call of duty and bioshock on pc alreadys o wont be playin them on console again, But I will be checking out assassins creed, mass effect, halo 3 and saints row i think. About those hd component cables. I was unaware there was any. i thought i could only get it through a hdmi cable. but yea it shoudl come with those cables then. also i believe its the pro version as he said its a 20gb version. I dont have to worry about it being a knockoff console cause i've seen and played it and my buddy was with his counsin when he bought it last year. cheers, Z
