Forwarding domains will get PR too?

    Hi All,

I'm new here. I wonder if forwarding domains will really get a PR for itself. I used to park a domain at a website and got a PR of 4. Later, I changed the domain name for the site but used the older domain simply to foward traffic to my new domain name, and saw the PR of 4 disappeared! And worse than that, my new domain name never get a PR for all the links the old domain forwarded to it.

I wonder if Google forbids domain forwarding in this way or only award PR to parked domains. Help me buddies. TIA!

    Regards,
    Barry

301 redirects are the preffered method of transfering PR when a site has changed locations.

I had the same problem. In December I changed from a PR4 .ws to a .com - with a .301 redirect. Two weeks later, the new site was also given a PR4.
