    Hi,
This is a bit of a complication question but i will try to keep it simple and explain it as best i can.
Before start, everything was fine until today and its all went pear shaped.

I have a couple of urls this has happened to, i will tell you about 1 of them.

I have a domain www.lotteryresultsbyemal.co.uk, that i have got forwarded to my elottery affiliate account at the lottery results by email page. but just today i noticed it seems google has got it mixed up with another elottery members affiliate link...
if you type site:www.lotteryresultsbyemal.co.uk into google,
it shows up my site fine,

    But if you type, www.lotteryresultsbyemal.co.uk,
it shows up this other domian...
    www.virtualworlddirect.com/redir.asp?m=185348JE&target=/default.asp?goto=/vwdguest/email_results.asp

This is almost the same as my affiliate link other than the member ID part of it which tells the affiliate links apart.

If you try the same thing on yahoo, everything is fine.

Its as if google is thinking it is he same link, because if you check for backlinks for my domain, it is also showing links from this other persons site as links to mine.

I hope this is clear and i really hope someone can help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Alan

    Hi,

Yes you are right. Same thing happened with me for one of my URL. Even my site had this text only "This website is Under Construction"!!

Google was mixing my domain to another domain which had text and format similar to my site. After some research I came to know both domains are hosted on same server with different NS. (Strange No!!)

    Then what I did..

1). Changed text and put some text other than 'Under Construction' like address, phone and service on the Home Page.)

2). Then I went to Google Webmaster Tool and submitted my URL for 'Request reconsideration'!!

Yes and now Google is showing my site... no more mixing up now..

    Hope this will help you.

Thanks very much for your quick reply. What i have doe, is instead of forwarding my domain to my affiliate link, i have changed the nameservers to point to my hosting account where i have setup a simple hml page.

Once they are fully changed over, in 48 hours, i will go onto my webmasters page and request reconcideration.

Hope fully this will help, Then after that i will set up a 301 redirect instead of a 302. (i think thats what i need to do, still pretty new to it all)

    Thanks again for your reply.
