If forum is really good targetted, then it could be good revenue. In general forums don't count to jump over competitors.
Like any site to do well with AdSense you need a fair amount of traffic. In general I think forums are more effort than they are worth when it comes to AdSense, but that is not to say you can't make good money from them. Plus forums can be very value for other reasons. I have a forum that I run that gets around 2,000 uniques a day and gets around $30/day.
i get an avg of 20,000 impressions a day but only make 1 dollar a day on my forum is there an advert program more suited towards forums?
car modifying and tunning forum ive ads in the footer thou as i dont want to be annoying regular members with them. i use openads (phpAdsNew) in the header thou and sell that space
Pretty bad actually,mostly there are returning visitors and they go Ad blind after a while. (when was the last time you clicked an Ad on Dp )
my forums are pretty atrocious for earnings. BUT the advantage to forums is that if you add articles to your site, you can PM all the members & maybe some of them read your article & click an ad. Also, the more visitors coming to your site, the better your name / brand is known and therefore it all help. Try and think of forums in a wider sense of marketing, rather than watching that adsense report page! DoA
Forums can do really good with adsense. Every member here at DP earns some good money from revenue sharing program so you can imagine how much the actual owner is earning
I have a celebrity forum that gets around 4-5000 daily uniques and 30-40,000 daily page impressions. (I have adsense only set for some of the forums and not others due to tos) I am only getting about $3.00/day off of around 70 clicks. When I advertised any was getting around 150 clicks/day it was only about $5-7.00/day?? Is there a way to increase the earnings per click? I am thinking of taking google off totally as it is not really worth it.
